Deleting your twitter account is good. But now you'll find that for many websites, and many people, you now have no way to contact them. I never signed up for twitter, it was obvious what it was from the beginning. At first this was fine, but over the years people have stopped putting their email address on their sites, their pages, etc. And with GDPR killing off whois it's now mostly infeasible to just find out someone's email address. They'll only have twitter/facebook/linked-in/etc on their contact info. So, welcome to not being able to contact people.
It sucks but it's for the best.
